There are fascinating local history museums and very contemporary art galleries. You simply must not miss the superb Grimmerhus Ceramics Museum.

West Fyn is a land of song and music. The whole coast rocks and rolls during the summer rock festival, where people of all and any ages enjoy the view of the bridge and the boats. Jazz, folk or church concerts - there is something for everyone.

You can also go out onto the fairway at the golf courses in Glamsbjerg or Middelfart.
The area around the Little Belt is not just well-endowed by Mother Nature, but also offers loads of things for children of all ages to do. There are innumerable attractions on Fyn, and even more just a bridge away, such as Legoland and Givskud Zoo, where the kids can get really close to the animals.

It is all even more fun if you decide to explore the region on foot or from the saddle of a bike. There are superb areas of countryside at Helnæs, Baagø, Torø, the river Brende Å, Føns, the Hindsgavl Peninsula and the cliffs at Røjle.

Wonderful seascapes, stately homes and manor houses … Enjoy substantial fresh and healthy food and the views of the undulating landscape, the cliffs and the heavenly blue of the Belt. Even when you are on the land, the essence of the sea is never far away.

Fyn is great for a holiday because wherever I start on my bike I can always find a whole network of quiet roads. I don't even need to know how long my tour will last. I can always add a loop if I feel like it. From the top of the moraines I can choose the woods or the seashore. Often I see more animals than cars. I like to stop to take pictures, take a walk, talk to people, and buy fruits and berries on the roadside.

My family likes to come from France for the same reasons. They like the quietness, the small islands, the swans, the peaceful beaches bordered with majestic beech trees and colourful fields, the old villages and the nice people. Actually I often stay for the summer: It is never too hot nor too cold and the light is so beautiful during the long evenings.
