This delightful big beach was made when the west bridge across the Great Belt was being constructed.

There is lots of lovely, fine sand on the beach with a delightful sandy floor to touch down on underwater. You don’t need to go out very far to reach a depth suitable for a good swim. T

hanks to the tremendous flow-through of water in the Great Belt, the bathing water is always clean and clear. If you’re into skinny dipping, keep to the 150 m of the beach nearest the Bridge.

Lifeguards are on duty in their beach watchtowers from 10 am – 6 pm during the summer months.



 

This beach is a big attraction for many, but especially beach babes and beach hunks. It is one of the two beaches on Fyn that have their own lifeguards. The beach is close to the town and is ‘youth-friendly’ as mentioned, but it is also safe for children. It is very wide and there are several volleyball courts. The beach is extremely popular and it is easily

accessible from Odense by bus. Kerteminde is a pleasant provincial town with several good eateries. An absolute must after a trip to the beach is a visit to Troldegade to enjoy a good old-fashioned ice cream cone with heavenly, home-made cones.

The popular Elsehoved Strand is on east Fyn.

Drive towards the water from the road between Nyborg and Svendborg (there are signs to show the way to Bøsøre/Elsehoved).

In addition to a fantastic beach with fine sand and child-safe depths, you will also find a campsite and lots of activity in the summer months.

This fine beach is within walking and cycling distance to the east of Svendborg. You may want to make use of the nice seaside path that passes the rowing club.

The beach is popular and attracts families with children as well as young people from morning till evening. There are wonderful views just inviting you to have a picnic or barbecue here.

The water is delightful and there is a bathing jetty, where the famous veteran ship Helge docks.

The beach is ideal for ball games; there is a recently renovated crazy golf course and playground, and the kiosk is famous for its huge, soft ice creams.

A delightful, very child-safe beach, where you can wade out a long way before the water reaches your waist.

It may be a bit stony to start with, but after that the sand is lovely and soft.

Føns Strand on northwest Fyn is a superb bathing beach that attracts bathers and windsurfers alike.

A delightful and inviting sandy beach with hardly any stones at all. Clear, clean water; very child-friendly. There’s plenty of room to move around and play ball games just off the beach. The beach has a Blue Flag. WC and stall by the beach.

The beach is adjacent to Bøjden Strand Feriepark (holiday park).

This is a beautiful white sandy beach and you have to wade out quite a long way before you reach deep water.

One of Fyn’s best and most popular bathing beaches.

It extends several kilometres from Enebærodde to Bårdesø and Tørresø Strand. With its low water, this beach is safe for children.

A long dike follows the beach and makes a great platform for a walk.

The campsite at the back is very popular too – but mind the current; the water around north Fyn can be fast-moving, which not only results in great waves and fresh water but also means you need to exercise care when bathing.

The town of Bogense is always worth a visit in high summer when you feel like a trip to the seaside. You can opt for the bathing beach to the

left of the marina or take a walk along the new harbour front and end up at the seaside resort. Here you will find pontoon bridges and wooden rafts that you can enjoy.

This resort is intended for slightly more mature visitors, but young people can also be seen in and around the resort later on in the evening.

The beach by the marina offers plenty of scope for families with children; the water level is relatively low to the left of the stone dikes
 

Further south, on Langeland, is the famous Ristinge Strand, undoubtedly one of the very best bathing beaches on Fyn.

Famous among other things for its stunning scenery with cliffs rising 30 m tall, it is also a great place to hunt for fossils.

Combine your trip to the beach with another scenic experience, and you will no doubt find beautiful stones to bring home for your collection or just admire on the way home in the car.

 

There’s something for all ages here: quoits, bouncy cushion, play castle with travelling, climbing ropes, sandpit with excavator, pétanque, bumble-puppy and last but not least, a legendary crazy golf course!!!

There’s also a vast lawn and a lovely sandy beach. Bushes provide a sheltered spot for sunbathing, and for parking, so you don’t have to come back to a boiling hot car after a trip to the beach.
