Fyn and the isles are full of exciting discoveries for the whole family, and it’s as if the landscape of Fyn was specially designed for cyclists. The hills are few and far between and not very steep, and the many sharp bends and winding lanes make each section of asphalt you come to a new adventure. The short distances between sea, city and child-friendly experiences make Fyn and the isles a cycling paradise for all the family.
Here you will find a myriad of attractions large and small. It’s teeming with animals of all shapes and sizes – from porpoises and monkeys to hedgehogs. You’ll meet them under the sea, in terrariums, museums or maybe even in a gravel pit.
Fyn has 1,175 km of signposted cycle trails and plenty of good rest areas for cyclists, with tables and benches. You can also choose to take your bicycle on one of the many ferries linking Fyn and the isles. No matter which cycle trail you choose, you will pass through idyllic villages and little market towns with lots and lots of well-maintained half-timbered, thatched cottages. On some routes, you may well pass several manor houses and stately homes, farm shops, museums and attractions – and when you’re feeling peckish, you’ll have no trouble finding a family-friendly restaurant.
