Close to the town of Svendborg on Southern Fyn you will find Birgitte and Jørgen`s idyllic vineyard. The vineyard benefits from the mild climate of the archipelago of Southern Fyn and the long summer days and cool nights that give the grapes the optimal growing conditions.
The Italian style winery and the winding rows of vines that are set against a backdrop of birch trees and blackberries make a visit to the vineyard a truly delightful experience.
Birgitte and Jørgen primarily produce white wine and dessert wine but they also tap birch trees and pick blackberries from their own garden which are fermented into different kinds of wine.
Locally grown red and blackcurrants as well as blueberries are collected from the nearby area and made into the most fantastic dessert wine and bubbles.
Jørgen is always experimenting with new kinds of flavours and products, and he has just started brewing beers as well - so there are always new things to taste and buy when you visit.
During the 1 ½ hour wine tour and wine tasting Jørgen or Birgitte will tell you about their story, the wines they produce and how you make good wine in the cold Danish climate. The tour will take you through the rows of vines and into the winery before you finish in the idyllic wine shop where you get to taste 2-3 wines.
