Do not miss the unique exhibition with more than 100 of Danish artist Ole Ahlberg's paintings in the old gun factory in Otterup. Ole Ahlberg is famous in both Denmark and abroad, where he enjoys growing international recognition for his oil paintings and art prints. January 3, 2019, Ole Ahlberg turned 70 years old. To celebrate his birthday, the great exhibition with his works has now been planned.
Ole Ahlberg uses the Tintin characters in his paintings where the cartoon's virtuous Tintin often is in the company of partially or completely undressed ladies in a way that is often spicy, naughty and seductive, but never vulgar. Ahlberg's works are exhibited in many countries in Europe and are also exhibited at the best galleries in, among other places. Miami and New York - and now also in Otterup.
The exhibition is arranged in collaboration between the North Funen business association Nordfyns Erhverv og Turisme and Galerie Wolfsen. With the artist living in Copenhagen and Galerie Wolfsen located in Aalborg, Fyn and Otterup are located in the centre of the country and with the exciting location in the old gun factory, the guests can expect a unique experience. The gun factory, like Ole Ahlberg, has an exciting story. Back in the post-World War I, the rifle factory was established and through the 20th century, the Otterup rifle was known around the world for its quality and precision. The gun shot several Olympic medals to Denmark, and a rifle from Otterup was known for its unique craftsmanship.
Ole Ahlberg is also known for his outstanding work with his paintings, and his artworks present themselves well in the fascinating industrial building.
