Odense has something to delight almost all visitors who love shopping.
The city centre is distinguished by the two main shopping streets – Kongensgade and Vestergade – which have almost everything the heart could desire in the way of brand and high-street shops, as well as a three-storey Magasin department store. And if you turn onto the interesting side streets – Vintapperstræde, Klaregade, Pogestræde and Brandts Passage, to name but a few – you will find all kinds of specialist shops offering a tempting range of both Danish and international brands, as well as uncommon items of applied art.
Nørregade is well-known for its delicatessens, while both Overgade and Nedergade are well worth a visit if you are keen on antiques and second-hand stores. And if you feel the need to sit down and take a break, there is always a café right nearby. Odense is also the site of the second-largest shopping mall in Denmark: Rosengårdcentret, which houses fully 153 shops.
