Meet Merete

Merete works with project management and collaboration on outdoor initiatives and helps tourism businesses make nature more accessible to visitors. She has extensive experience in managing outdoor projects that enable both visitors and local tourism businesses to get the most out of the nature experiences Funen has to offer. She is currently the project manager for the projects The Great Nearby – New Approaches to Danish Outdoor Tourism, the Eastern Denmark Capacity Analysis and Nature Connections on Funen. In her spare time, she loves lacing up her hiking boots or pumping up her bicycle tyres and setting off on an adventure in the nature of Funen.

Merete can help with

Merete has extensive experience in creating the right conditions for visitors who want to experience nature, whether they arrive by bicycle or on foot. She can help develop facilities that balance visitors’ needs with consideration for nature. She also has valuable insight into how services and information materials can enhance the visitor experience. Merete also works to bring tourism businesses together around joint projects and develop ideas for events and activities that strengthen interest in outdoor experiences. She plays a major role in both our outdoor conference and the Friends concept.
