7th Tee: The historic “clubhouse”

At the Viking Museum Ladby, you step into a historic “clubhouse” of the heroes of the past – a place where precision, strength and strategy, just like in golf, were essential. Here, no golf clubs were used, but swords and oars – yet the same spirit of community, courage and competition shaped life.

As you walk by the Ladby ship, you can almost feel the atmosphere of a golf course along the fjord: the open landscape, the wind in your face and respect for the forces of nature. Here, history and sport meet in the idea of balance, focus and fair play – just a thousand years apart.

Viking for a day

With “Viking for a day”, the whole family or golf club can take one of eight activity backpacks out into the landscape around the museum and explore sports, games, weapons and crafts – almost like a learning round on a fairway. The activity is available every day, costs 30 DKK per backpack, and once the tasks are completed, you receive a small souvenir booklet to take home.
