In the gardens of Egeskov Castle, Heartland unfolds – a festival of music, art and ideas, set in one of Fyn’s most enchanting settings. Heartland Festival usually takes place during the month of June and if you're into special festivals, this is the one you should add to your bucket list.
For a few days each summer, Odense turns up the volume – as Tinderbox fills the city with music, energy and big-stage moments. If you're stopping by Odense in the end of June, you're going to see a city much emptier than usually, because many if not most of the locals are gathering on the festival site in Tusindårsskoven.
In August, Odense pays tribute to its most famous author with the H.C. Andersen Festivals – a city-wide celebration of stories and imagination. Expect theatre, street performances, art installations and creative experiences unfolding across the city.
From sea and soil to local specialties – Kulinarisk Sydfyn celebrates the flavours of South Funen in Svendborg each summer. Taste your way through artisan foods, local produce and handcrafted delicacies, all rooted in a strong food culture.
From jousting knights to lively markets, Danehof brings centuries of history to life in Nyborg. Each July, the historic royal town – once home to kings and the seat of Denmark’s first parliament – opens its streets for the festival, free for all to explore.
