Ålehoved - Havørred Hotspot nr. 102

Ålehoved is a year-round coastal spot with varied stretches and great chances for sea trout. Walk along the beach and explore both shallow and deep waters – perfect for every season.

The peninsula is a long and varied year-round coastal spot – almost like a mini version of Wedellsborg – with great chances on the south side, the tip, and the north side. Ålehoved is worth visiting in all wind directions except due west, when the water quickly turns murky. It’s about a 2-kilometer walk from the parking area at Rud Strand north of Ålehoved. That’s probably why this spot is rarely visited – which can work to your advantage if you’re up for a brisk walk along the beach. In winter and spring, fish over the shallow water on the way to the tip. In summer and autumn, head straight to the deeper water around the tip of Ålehoved near the cliff. Best wind direction: NW – SW.
