Båring Strand - Havørred Hotspot nr. 113

Båring Strand is an ideal spring spot with sandbars and dark belts that wake up early after winter. Fish actively and remember the protected zones on both sides of the stretch.

A classic spring spot with wade fishing over sandbars and casting across dark seaweed belts.
These are the kinds of places that “wake up” first after a long, cold winter. As soon as the temperature rises above freezing, sandbar locations like Båring Strand are well worth a visit.

Make sure to fish actively and keep moving – it’s up to you to find the sea trout, not the other way around.

Note the protection zones on both sides:
A year-round no-fishing zone west of Aulby Mølleå, and a seasonal closed area (15 September to 15 March) by the small trout stream to the east.

Between the two lies a couple of kilometres of productive coastline, especially in spring and late autumn.

Best wind: SE–SW
