From the Faaborg Museum Collection
The museum always displays a large selection of works from its own collection in the museum building from 1915, which was created for these artworks. In this - the oldest - part of the museum, the diverse visual art of the Funen Painters and Kai Nielsen's sculptures, Carl Petersen's colourful architecture, Kaare Klint's classic furniture and Knud V. Engelhardt's graphic design together form a rare, integrated Gesamtkunstwerk. The exhibited works from the collection change, new acquisitions appear, well-known works are temporarily removed to enrich other museums' exhibitions, and lesser-known works are hung at intervals - all in a continuous flow that provides both familiar and new art experiences from visit to visit.
