Fønsskov Odde - Havørred Hotspot nr. 104

Fønsskov Odde is an exciting summer spot with deep water and strong currents close to shore. When darkness falls, sea trout move toward the point – perfect for night fishing.

At Fønsskov Odde – the tip of the Fønsskov Peninsula – wading requires caution. The seabed is mostly firm sand and easy to walk on, but suddenly it gets deep, and the current can be strong. Deep water and current are the recipe for an exciting summer spot. Fønsskov Odde is therefore an ideal place to spend a calm, warm summer night with a fly rod or light spinning gear. When darkness falls, sea trout move from the deep, cool waters of the Little Belt toward the tip of the point. Often they line up right in the current seam, which forms very close to shore. At other times of the year, it pays to explore a larger area on both sides of the tip. Best wind direction: SE – S.
