Halloween at Egeskov

October 11th – 19th 2025, 10 am – 5 pm

This Halloween, mysterious creatures take over Egeskov, settling in the park around the old castle. Spooky fun awaits children and their families!

During the autumn break, the gardens at Egeskov will be transformed with magical Halloween decorations and a special program filled with (spooky) activities. Follow the treasure hunt trail designed for younger children, where strange creatures appear along the way. For older kids, the thrills intensify in THE ZONE.

The little (spooky) hunt
Mysterious creatures from the ancient legends of the Shadow Order have broken free – causing mischief and (spooky) fun at Egeskov. If you can find all the hidden shadow symbols, the curse can be broken, sending the creatures back into the darkness from which they came. The little (spooky) hunt is designed for younger children and sensitive souls (up to around 8–9 years old). Treasure maps are handed out free of charge at the ticket office, and the route will take you through different parts of the gardens.

The ZONE - For the brave!
If you’re extra brave (and a bit older), step into THE ZONE, where the fright level rises! But beware – death and terror lurk behind the hedges… zombies, the butcher, and restless spirits are waiting in the shadows. Can you find your way out? You’ve been warned! THE ZONE is designed for older children and the brave at heart (around 9–13 years old).

A Full Day of Experiences
The enormous Playground is a scare-free zone – a place for pure fun where time flies. Try the GIANT climbing castle, get lost in the Maze, or see the gardens from above on the Tree Top Walking path. You can also visit the three exciting museums featuring vintage cars, fire engines, and the Camping Outdoor Museum. Or explore the old castle itself – discover Titania’s Palace, the world’s largest dollhouse, and wander through the attic with its unique toy exhibition.

Program:

10:00 am – 5.00 pm – Treasure Hunt: The Secret of the Shadow Order (maps available at the ticket office)

11:00 am–4:00 pm – Live encounters with witches, spirits, vampires, and more

1:00 pm – Twist bread by the fire (while dough lasts)

From October 20–26, you can still enjoy the gardens beautifully decorated in the Halloween theme (without events). Please note: the castle itself is closed during this period, as it is a private residence for the winter.
