Knudshoved - Havørred Fyn Hotspot nr. 26
One of Funen's best spots if you are targeting large sea trout.
Knudshoved offers a two-part fishing experience: the rocky cliff coast below the iconic tipping lighthouse at the point itself, and the old ferry pier by the harbor. The latter isn’t particularly interesting for sea trout anglers. While trout are occasionally caught from the pier – usually by those targeting mackerel, cod, or garfish – such catches are rare and mostly random.
The coastal stretch by the cliffs south of the pier, however, is a true gem. Sea trout can be found both close to shore among the large rocks, where they hunt shrimp and amphipods, and further out, where they chase herring and sand eels. Both fly fishers and spin anglers have excellent chances at the tip of Knudshoved.
