Bird Protection Foundation organises Open Tower in Tryggelev Nor

Tryggelev Nor - Open Hide

On Sunday, 7 September, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., you can join volunteers from the Danish Bird Protection Foundation on a birdwatching trip to Tryggelev Nor, where a rich bird life unfolds across the meadows, lakes and open countryside.

This is your chance to see ospreys dive for fish with impressive precision – and perhaps spot the “whiptail”, the small, lightning-fast merlin that hunts low over the meadow. The area also attracts waders, ducks, geese and birds of prey in large numbers.

Time and place:

Tryggelev Nor, car park at the end of Stenbækvej, Humble

Tour guide: The Danish Bird Protection Foundation's volunteer working group led by Børge L. Rasmussen

Bring your binoculars – or just your curiosity – and experience nature's theatre up close in one of Langeland's most important bird areas. You don't need to be a bird expert to join in. Just show up and feel the magic.
