Film Festival at Bio Langeland – international films and short films

Saturday at the film festival at Bio Langeland in Rudkøbing is dedicated to international, Nordic and Danish film experiences. The programme features short films, documentaries and meetings with filmmakers, with a focus on stories from islands and different cultures.

Short films from around the world

The day begins with a strong selection of short films and documentaries, covering a wide range of genres and narrative styles. Discover, among other things, the animated film The 3 Sisters, in which three sisters on an isolated island must find new ways to survive. The drama *O* unfolds an inner struggle, whilst the documentary *Return of the Spirit Horses* offers an insight into an important cultural history. The award-winning short film *Ivalu* takes the audience to Greenland’s magnificent nature in an intense tale of longing and searching, whilst *The Price of a Story* revolves around the meeting of cultures and stories from the past.

Documentary with perspective

Later in the day, the documentary *Storm Alerts* will be screened, introduced by director Bergur Bernburg. The film follows a personal journey and explores the boundaries between chaos and insight, drawing on both inner life and the world around us.
