Fyn is located right in the heart of Denmark and is easy to reach from all parts of the country.

Getting to Fyn easy

By plane

Fyn is within easy reach of Copenhagen, Billund and Hamborg airports.

By train

Take the train from Copenhagen to Odense in just over an hour, or from Aarhus in about an hour and a half. You can also travel by train to Svendborg, Nyborg and Middelfart.

Getting around Fyn

By bus, train and ferry

There are excellent bus and train connections across Fyn and Langeland. If you're heading to Ærø, you'll need to hop on a ferry.

By light rail and E-scooter in Odense

In Odense, the light rail runs from Tarup Center in the north to Hjallese Station in the south. It passes the central train station, the city center, the university area, and the new OUH hospital. Trains run every 7,5 minutes in both directions during weekday daytime hours. If you're going somewhere outside the light rail route or it's too far to walk, you can grab one of the many electric scooters waiting around the city.

By bike or on foot

There’s a reason we call ourselves the Cycling Island. Funen and the surrounding islands are perfect for exploring by bike – with manageable distances and scenic routes. Try one of the stages of the Manor Route, which takes you through rolling, historic landscapes shaped by the island’s 123 castles and manors. There are several places across the destination where you can rent a bike. You can also explore the landscapes on one of the many marked hiking trails.
