The charming town of Ærøskøbing is the perfect place to begin your journey. Here, you’re greeted by cobbled streets, colourful houses, and a calm, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. In the narrow streets, you’ll find cafés and small shops – ideal for a relaxing break before heading onwards.

Along the Coast Toward Marstal

From Ærøskøbing, the route follows the shoreline, taking you through open landscapes with sweeping views of the sea. The ride continues along quiet paths and small roads, where nature and tranquillity take centre stage. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the scenery.

The Bathing Houses at Eriks Hale

In Marstal, you’ll encounter a lively harbour area and a town deeply rooted in maritime traditions. Just outside the town centre lies Eriks Hale, famous for its iconic bathing huts and inviting beach. Here, you can enjoy the sea breeze or take a refreshing dip.

Local Flavours

On the return journey, you can stop by Ærø Brewery and savour a locally brewed beer. From here, the route continues through Ærø’s gently rolling landscape before returning to the cosy streets of Ærøskøbing.

The route can be cycled in both directions, and you are free to choose your own starting point.
