Badepunkt: Botofte Strand, Tranekær

Botofte Beach is designated as a ‘Badepunkt’. ‘Badepunkt’ is a Nordic labelling scheme with requirements covering, amongst other things, bathing water quality, bathing safety tailored to the individual bathing site, and basic facilities. The scheme also emphasises the local bathing experience and opportunities for outdoor, nature or cultural activities.

Plenty of space and good conditions

The beach is surrounded by scenic countryside with open natural areas on both sides. It consists mainly of sand with a few small and medium-sized stones scattered evenly across the beach. The seabed off the beach is also covered in fine sand with a few small and medium-sized stones. The beach is 10–15 metres wide and around 500 metres long.

The beach is located at the end of Botofte Strandvej, where there is a car park with toilet facilities.
