Bjerget

Explore the exciting and varied nature area of Bjerget.

Bjerget is a nature area located outside Ærøskøbing, close to the colourful bathhouses at Vesterstrand. If you follow the wheel track in the opposite direction to the bathhouses, you'll get straight there.

Despite the name, the area is not a high mountain, but an exciting nature area that is ideal for a good walk or a swim with the family.

Along the wheel track are some of the island's most cosy holiday homes. If you continue along the track, you'll come to a grassy area surrounded by the characteristic crooked and wind-blown trees and bushes near the beach. From here there is a beautiful view out over the sea, with the ferry sailing close by. There is also a small forest with good climbing trees and a rope swing.

On Easter Saturday, the island's young people meet for an Easter party at Bjerget with good music and egg boiling.
