CREATE Festival

CREATE Festival explores visual narratives through animation, games and comics. The festival brings artists and audiences together for inspiring workshops, exhibitions and events with a focus on creativity and community.

CREATE Festival is a recurring festival that focuses on visual storytelling in animation, games and comics. The festival is run by passionate people from Svendborg Library and collaborates with a wide range of local and national partners. Through workshops, exhibitions and events, the festival creates a vibrant meeting place where children, young people and adults can experience and explore the creative processes behind visual storytelling.

Presence and immersion

With an ambition to be among the most important festivals in the field, CREATE Festival emphasises presence and dialogue. The intimate venues provide space for conversation and immersion, where participants can meet illustrators, authors, game developers and animators at eye level. The festival invites guests to become co-creators through hands-on activities where they can try their hand at everything from drawing and VR to game development and animation.

Held every second year

CREATE Festival strives to create an inclusive community where all stories have a place and where creativity and learning go hand in hand. The festival is held every second year in week 5
