Relive the magic of Christmas at Langeland Library
A glimpse of childhood Christmas
Step into a warm and cosy exhibition with props and characters from DR's beloved TV Christmas calendar ‘Den Gamle Julekalender’. Langeland Library in Rudkøbing has been transformed into a little Christmas fairy tale, where both children and adults can recognise the characters from the screen – and experience them up close.
For the whole family
The exhibition invites reflection and conversation about Christmas traditions. What do you remember from back then? And what do children think today? It is an obvious opportunity for several generations to meet around something everyone can relate to – namely the Christmas spirit and stories. The exhibition can be seen throughout December.
Part of the Christmas experience on Langeland
When you visit Rudkøbing and the surrounding area during the Christmas season, you can combine the exhibition with a stroll through the town's cosy streets, which are decorated for the festive season. Explore the local shops, enjoy a hot cup of cocoa – or take part in Langeland's many Christmas activities and markets, which create a real December atmosphere.
Practical information
The exhibition is located on the ground floor and is easily accessible for wheelchair users and prams. The library is centrally located in Rudkøbing and can be easily reached by public transport. There are signs and staff on hand to help you find your way around.
