Mountain bike in Svanninge Bakker

Svanninge Bakker

In Svanninge Bakker near Faaborg, there is a nature track that follows a winding course up and down the hills known locally as the “South-Fyn Alps”. Svanninge Bakker is the largest unbroken nature area on Fyn, and one of the most popular destinations on the island. The track is narrow and not suited to high speeds, making it ideal for most cyclists – novices and more experienced riders alike. There are not many technically challenging sections, but there are plenty of steep hills where you don’t have to be a dyed-in-the-wool mountain-biker to have some fun. The entire route is signposted, and there are warning signs at points where it crosses woodland roads.
