Wedellsborg Sydside - Havørred Hotspot nr. 100
The Wedellsborg peninsula offers excellent sea trout fishing along its southern coast – from base to tip. Fish fast and efficiently, and slow down when you spot or feel fish. Best wind direction: NW – NE.
Like a large West Funen peninsula, Wedellsborg stretches out into the Little Belt. Both above and below the “nose,” it’s worth going sea trout hunting. From base to tip, the southern side of the peninsula offers perfect sea trout coastline. The entire stretch should be fished – though not necessarily in great detail.
Although sea trout aren’t considered schooling fish, they love each other’s company and rarely appear alone. A group of sea trout has many pairs of eyes, so one or more in the group will likely spot your lure or fly, even if you fish quickly and with good spacing between casts. Only when you see or feel fish should you slow down and fish slowly and thoroughly for a while.
