Welcome to the seventh experience in the Kerteminde area during the golf days. Visit the Viking Museum Ladby, where Viking Age life, the surrounding landscape and the fjord community provide the setting for a unique story.
At the Viking Museum Ladby, you step into a historic clubhouse for the heroes of the past – a place where precision, strength and strategy were just as important as they are in golf. Instead of golf clubs, they wielded swords and oars, but the same spirit of teamwork, courage and friendly competition shaped everyday life.
As you walk around the Ladby Ship, you will experience something reminiscent of a golf course by the fjord: the open landscape, the wind on your face and a deep respect for the forces of nature. Here, history and sport come together through shared values such as balance, focus and fair play – separated only by a thousand years.
Programme
Viking for a day
Wednesday 12 August to Sunday 16 August, 10 am–5 pm
With Viking for a day, the whole family or your golf group can borrow one of eight activity backpacks and explore the landscape surrounding the museum. Discover Viking sports, games, weapons and crafts – almost like enjoying an educational round along the fairway. The activity is available every day, costs DKK 30 per backpack, and once the challenges have been completed, you will receive a small illustrated booklet as a souvenir.
