Family Time at Dallund Lake

Dallund Lake is a lovely place for a relaxed family day out in North Funen. Here you can walk around the lake, enjoy the view of Dallund Castle and take small breaks along the way with packed lunches, hot cocoa or snacks.
Turn the walk into a cosy family day
- Pack lunch, drinks and snacks before you leave home.
- Stop by SuperBrugsen in Søndersø on the way if you need to stock up.
- Wear practical shoes or wellies, especially if it has been raining.
- Download the Naturetales app if the children would like a story to follow on the walk.
- Bring hot cocoa, fruit or a small snack for the end of the trip, if you like.
When you arrive at Dallund Sø
- Park at Dallund Castle, Dallundvej 63, 5471 Søndersø.
- Start at the car park and walk down towards the lake.
- Follow the path around Dallund Sø – the route around the lake is about 2.5 km.
- Take a break on a bench or in a quiet spot along the route.
- Look out for birds, small animals, interesting leaves, branches and views of Dallund Castle.
- Turn the walk into a little game: Who can spot a bird on the water first, hear the most nature sounds or find the best view of the castle?
The route around Dallund Sø is manageable and works well for families with children. If you would like a longer walk, you can choose the Hjertesti by Dallund Sø, which is about 5.5 km. Along the way, you get lake views, woodland, open views and small places where the children can hunt for natural treasures.
