Naturama is the natural history museum of the Region of Southern Denmark, presenting the diversity of nature through modern and atmospheric exhibitions. Knowledge about life on land, in water and in the air is conveyed through visual storytelling where aesthetics and science meet. Highlights include whale skeletons, Denmark’s largest egg collection and displays of Nordic and Arctic animals.

The museum also focuses on local nature and biodiversity, presenting the interaction between plants, animals and humans in engaging ways. The exhibitions are designed as immersive experiences that invite both children and adults to explore connections in nature.

Naturama also features a café, terraces and relaxation areas, as well as a play area themed around an adventure forest. Here, children can explore the layers of the forest through play, while guided tours and activities are offered throughout the year.

Right in the heart of Svendborg, you can explore the fascinating world of nature through exciting activities, engaging storytelling and immersive exhibitions that make the summer holidays both educational and fun.

Every day offers new experiences. Become a Naturama Ranger and explore the animal kingdom in workshops, get up close to nature through dissections, meet Naturama’s live animals, or join guided tours covering everything from the world of whales to invasive species and the incredible story of eggs.

In Naturama’s creative workshop, both children and adults can let their imagination run free, while the question corner offers answers to all the questions nature inspires.

Outside the museum, the adventure continues with free nature walks, birdwatching tours and bat experiences on summer nights. And every weekend, the whole family can compete in Naturama’s big quiz about life on land, at sea and in the air.

Between activities, you can explore impressive whale skeletons, Nordic and Arctic animals, Denmark’s largest egg collection and exhibitions about biodiversity. There is plenty of room for play, learning and shared experiences – whether you visit Naturama for just one day or return several times throughout the summer.

Summer holidays at Naturama are filled with nature, curiosity and experiences for all ages.
