Tree climbing is for everyone – children must be at least 5 years old.
Looking for a great family experience, fresh air and a real connection with nature? Then tree climbing is just the thing for you. Or maybe it's time to give your partner a proper challenge?
No prior experience is needed – individual consideration is given to each person's physical ability.
Before we start climbing, there is a thorough introduction to the use of ropes and equipment. A selection of carefully chosen trees is available, so there is always room for both the daring and the more cautious.
Tree climbing offers a rare opportunity to see the world from a new angle, clear your head among the treetops, and let yourself be inspired and impressed by the view. This unique kind of forest outing is for everyone – young and old – and can be adjusted in difficulty so that everyone gets the most out of it according to their personal abilities and fitness. We select the trees that suit you best, at varying levels of difficulty – up to 24 metres above the forest floor.
Tree climbing is a fun, recreational and energising way to move your whole body, building strength, balance and coordination. After a thorough briefing and under the guidance of trained tree climbing instructors, you will reach the treetops – where you will feel the rush and the sway of the tree in the wind. Whatever the height or difficulty, tree climbing brings both personal challenges and personal victories. You will also train trust and teamwork, as you take turns climbing and belaying each other.
Sleeping in the Treetops
Hotel rooms, hostels and camping are ordinary. On the Hindsgavl Peninsula near Middelfart, you can spend the night in a hammock 10 metres up in a beech tree – with the whole family.
Sleeping in the treetops is a primitive nature experience for those who want to try something special and get close to the deep, quiet stillness of the forest. Feel the wind, hear the rustle of the leaves and the scent of the trees, while the sturdy hammock sways beneath you.
To make sure you don't fall out in your sleep, you are safely secured in a safety line. The hammock can also be wrapped in a tent or a mosquito net.
Overnight on nature's terms
From the treetop, there is an adventurous view over the forest and Lillebælt. You get very close to the wildlife of the forest – the hum of life beneath you on the ground, the birds sitting on branches right beside you. You can hear and sometimes see the large animals moving below on the forest floor. They pay no attention to people up in the trees.
