Vester Skerninge Kro

Vester Skerninge Kro has been a meeting place for villagers and travellers on the main road through South Fyn since 1772. The historic dining rooms reflect the traditional Danish inn atmosphere that has welcomed guests for generations.

In 2005 a careful restorration of the dining rooms, kitchen and guest roomswere carried out while preserving the historic character of the building.

The kitchen serves both lunch and dinner based on seasonal ingredients, classic inn dishes and local South Fyn flavours. The lunch menu includes marinated herring, plaice fillet, hand-peeled shrimp, smoked salmon and the inn’s traditional “stjerneskud”. Evening dishes include pepper steak from Danish beef, pan-fried zander, scallops, desserts and selected French cheeses.
