Fyen Rundt has been an annual event on the island since 1894, making it one of the oldest bike races in the world. Every year, a strong field of Danish and international riders line up for a tough race around the island. On the day of the race itself, there is always a festival atmosphere in the finishing area, where more than 2,000 amateur riders – who will have ridden the route earlier in the day – join large crowds of spectators to cheer home the winners as they sprint to the finish line in the city of Odense.
