In Denmark, you generally need to be at least 19 years old to rent a car from Avis and must have held a valid driving licence for at least one year. Some vehicle groups have a higher minimum age, and drivers under 25 are charged an additional young-driver fee.

When collecting your vehicle, bring a valid driving licence, photo ID and the payment card used for the reservation. If your driving licence is not written in the Latin alphabet, you may also need an international driving permit or an authorised translation.
