DCU-Camping Flyvesandet Strand
Go camping at the northern tip of Funen with nature at the center. Enjoy stunning views of the sea and Æbelø, with the beach right at your feet – and take a short trip to Odense for shopping whenever you like.
Beautiful View of the Water
At Flyvesandet Beach, you can stay right by the shoreline with a view of the sea. The child-friendly beach is located just outside the campsite, perfect for long summer days filled with swimming and lovely walks along the water’s edge. You can also explore the nearby forest or take a trip to Æbelø, a wild and untouched island where sea eagles and fallow deer can often be seen.
Flyvesandet Beach is surrounded by scenic landscapes and plenty of nature just waiting to be explored. It is the northernmost campsite on Nordfyn and, with its location directly by the water, a little gem for anyone dreaming of a holiday close to nature.
Community, Children and Dogs
Children can enjoy the playground with its large bouncy pillow and plenty of fun equipment. During the summer, activities are arranged especially for the kids. If you are bringing your dog, the dog forest is a great place for a walk – and a chance to meet other dog owners. Stock up on food and drinks, fire up the grill, and enjoy the campsite together with family and friends.
City Life on Funen
If you are in the mood for shopping, culture, and cafés, Odense is just a short drive away. Here, you can visit Hans Christian Andersen’s House, The Funen Village open-air museum, the Danish Railway Museum, and explore the city center with its many shops and restaurants.
And if you want even more city life, within just one hour you can reach most of Funen – Nyborg to the east, Svendborg and Faaborg to the south, Assens and Middelfart to the west, and not least the nearby town of Bogense to the north.
Egeskov Castle
Take a trip to Egeskov Castle, where the whole family can enjoy a wide range of attractions: the Camping Outdoor Museum, vintage cars and aircraft, motorcycles, Dracula’s Crypt, Piet Hein’s maze, a large natural playground, treetop walking paths, and of course the castle itself with its enchanting gardens.
