Enjoy a boat ride on the traditional M/V Helge and discover South Funen and Svendborgsund from its best angle.
It has been called Denmark's most delightful route at sea. The two-hour boat trip takes you along the beautiful South Funen coasts, passing close to Tåsinge, Thurø, and under the impressive Svendborgsund Bridge.
Bring your picnic basket and enjoy the sight of yachts setting sail on the strait, the fine old wooden ships, and the kayakers gliding by. You are also welcome to embark and disembark along the way.
Here are three suggestions for experiences on the route:
- M/S Helge docks at Stella Maris, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, coffee, and cake. You can also take the 'Sundets Stilhed' audio walk to the final destination and sail back to Svendborg from Stella Maris.
- Get off at the lovely sandy beach off Christiansminde and have lunch at the hotel.Or visit Villa Tårnborg, located a few minutes' walk from the jetty. Here, Galleri DGV showcases contemporary art in absolutely fantastic surroundings.
- In the skipper town of Troense, it's an experience to stroll down Grønnegade with all the well-preserved half-timbered houses. Finish with lunch or coffee at the hotel, right by the small, charming harbor where M/S Helge docks.
