The Red Clover Leaf Route in Søndersø
Nature and agriculture are part of the sights on the red cloverleaf route around Søndersø!
Join the “Røde Kløversti” in Søndersø—a lovely 7.9 km route for cycling or walking. The trail is marked with red Kløversti signs and starts and ends at Søndersø Bypark.
Further inland, you’ll pass the industrial area and the KiMs crisp factory, part of the town’s story since 1971. The route rolls up and down through gently hilly terrain, with views of old and new farms and the cosy villages of Vedby and Veflinge.
Margård Forest is great for a quiet nature break, and the Margård manor adds a touch of history going all the way back to 1310. Over the centuries, different families have owned the estate. It’s still an active farm today, and the large forest also has woodland burials.
Vigerslev Church, built in the 1100s, is a little gem along the way.
There are benches and picnic spots on the route—or bring a blanket if you’d like a proper break.
Enjoy the trip, and pick up snacks and drinks in the nearby grocery stores so you’ve got something to keep you going.
