Surfspot: Ristinge Hale

A dream spot for flat water kitesurfing! NOTE: Only during the period 1/6-31/8

Kitesurfing at Ristinge Hale
Optimal wind conditions: All directions work, except south-east.
Westerly winds are offshore, but the flat water in the lagoon and the limits of the land-tail provide good safety.
If you are kitesurfing in an easterly wind, the water in the lagoon is a bit choppy.

Use the small area by the car park for launching. Or the small beach by the car park.

Ristinge Hale is perfect for flat water kitesurfing, but PLEASE NOTE that surfing is only allowed here from 1 June to 31 August.

The area has many birds and the island of Storeholm to the north of the area is closed from 1 March to 15 July. Stay away from this area if you are surfing in June or early July.

Danger: There are some large rocks close to the shore. They are usually visible, but worth your attention.

The whole area is a nature reserve. Read more about the South Funen Archipelago Nature Reserve (in Danish)
