Autumn in Middelfart
Autumn in Middelfart.

Experience Middelfart on your autumn holiday
The forests along Lillebælt have changed their colours from green to warm orange and red. The paths are covered in wet leaves, sunlight shines through the bare treetops and there is a scent of fresh air and damp soil.
If you want to experience the forest, coast and the view over Lillebælt, you can walk from Gamborg to Strib with the Little Belt Trail. A calm and varied 27km long hike around the Hindsgavl Peninsula and through Staurby Forest. You can walk the whole thing or divide it into stages, but remember good footwear.
When it rains
If the weather forecast promises rain, you have the opportunity to have a cozy day indoors. Make your own candles at Aagardens Lys, paint a cup at Kreaværk, go to the cinema or watch beautiful fish and read a book at Kulturøen.
Autumn in Middelfart does not require a big plan, you can just go.
Museums that are all worth a visit
A doll museum, baroque rooms and from October an annual Christmas exhibition. You can experience all this at Humlemagasinet and also enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake in the café.
At CLAY you can experience the many properties and shapes of clay. The museum has changing special exhibitions with Danish and international artists.
Through historical objects, audio stories, works of art and personal stories, MIND museum creates dialogue, understanding and provides insight into mental illness.
Strib Automobile Museum displays a unique collection of cars that have been driven by famous personalities from all over the world.
Fresh air and play in nature
In Staurby Skov you will find a natural playground, observation tower, disc golf courses, wooden pavilion and barbecue area. At Hindsgavl Nature Center you will also find Tarzan courses, a bonfire and table and bench sets. Both places have room for many hours of play and socializing. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy an autumn day in the fresh air and scenic views.
