The course winds down towards the water

From the upper holes you see Fænøsund and Lillebælt open up before you: Fænø on one side, Skamlingsbanken on the other.

Golfklubben Lillebælt lies two kilometres south of Middelfart town centre, with Middelfart Marina as its nearest neighbour. The course was laid out on two former farms – Kristianslund and Lundbjerggård – and has offered golf in one of Denmark's most striking coastal landscapes since 1990. In 2025, the Danish Golf Union named the club Golf Club of the Year in Denmark – only the second club ever to receive that honour.

The 18-hole course is gently undulating with a seaside character. The wind is always part of the game – as ally or opponent. From the white tee the course measures 6,138 metres with slope 126. From the blue tee it is 5,146 metres with slope 125. The course challenges players at all levels and rewards those who read the terrain and respect the elements.

If you just want to try the game, the Pay & Play course is ideal. The 9-hole par 3 course is designed as pitch and putt with holes of 60–85 metres. Close to the clubhouse you'll also find a driving range with 14 hitting mats, practice bunkers, chipping and putting green – everything you need to warm up or sharpen your game.

The club today has over 1,000 members, and the number of green fee guests has risen by more than a third in a single year. Behind that development lies a strong volunteer community, a dedicated greenkeeping team and a daily operation that prioritises course quality and community.

Café Rita Golfen in the clubhouse is a natural gathering point for players, guests and locals. Here you can eat, drink and enjoy the south-facing terrace with views of the putting green. A pro shop and professional coach are also available if you want new equipment or want to improve your game with expert guidance.

Golfklubben Lillebælt is part of an area where nature and activity meet. Bridgewalking on the old Lillebælt Bridge and walks along the coast are natural combinations for golf days in Middelfart.
