Bridgewalking – A View of Something Special
Experience the view from the top of the Old Lillebælt Bridge with Bridgewalking Lillebælt.

Bridgewalking in Middelfart
Below you, Lillebælt stretches like a living map between Funen and Jutland. You stand at the top of the Old Lillebælt Bridge, 60 metres above the water – an experience you'll only find in four places in the world, and only here, in Middelfart, within Europe.
The experience takes around two hours. A guide leads you through the steel structure, sharing the history of the bridge from 1935, stories of the harbour porpoises in the belt below and of the trains that make the bridge vibrate beneath your feet.
Walk across Lillebælt
The view changes with the seasons – the green shores of spring, the fiery red leaves of autumn and the clear strait of winter.
Your phone stays below. The guide takes photos, which you can download afterwards. But most of all, it's about being present – feeling the height, spotting the porpoises if you're lucky, and experiencing Lillebælt from a new perspective.
The tour is approx. 2.5 km long and takes place in groups of max. 20 people. Before stepping onto the bridge, you'll be fitted with an overall and safety harness and can store your phone and keys in a safety box.
Then it's upwards: past the footpath, up the stairs and out into the steel structure, where the bridge opens up beneath you and Lillebælt stretches out in both directions.
Tip: After the tour, enjoy a packed lunch at the tables and benches by the welcome centre, which also has a nature Playground and a fire pit.
