Sindssyg God Søndag
Annual one-day festival on mental health, organised by Middelfart Museum, the Psychiatric Services of Region Syddanmark and Middelfart Library. Art, music and talks on the mind, for children and adults alike.

The mind at the centre in Teglgårdsparken
You walk into Teglgårdsparken in Middelfart, where the old psychiatric hospital, now home to MIND Museum, sits among trees and open lawns. One day a year, the place fills with music, talks and art that revolve around mental health.
Sindssyg God Søndag is an annual one-day festival organised by PsykInfo in Region Syddanmark together with Middelfart Museum and Middelfart Culture & Library. From 11am to 4pm you can walk around Teglgårdsparken and hear about the site and its history as a former psychiatric hospital. On this Sunday, the park and MIND Museum fill with dance and art, music, workshops, talks and debate. Every event centres on mental health, and the tone is open and curious.
MIND Museum offers reduced admission on this day.
A day for anyone who wants to learn about mental health
You don’t need any particular relationship to mental illness or mental health. Whether you’re close to someone affected, work in the field, are simply curious, or have experience of mental illness yourself, you’re welcome. Through open dialogue, you gain an insight into mental health and wellbeing via personal stories, art and music, while also learning about this historic site in Middelfart.
“Mental wellbeing concerns all of us. With Sindssyg God Søndag, we want to create an open, informal space where culture, experiences and community can help break down prejudice and make it easier to talk about what’s hard. So we hope many will stop by and join in.”
– Bo Libergren (Venstre), Chair of the Regional Council, Region Syddanmark, regionsyddanmark.dk
