It is part of the story of Hans Christian Andersen's travels on Fyn that he also visited a number of castles and manor houses that are not open today.
For example, he visited Søbysøgaard twice, which has since become a prison. Today, there is a museum that you can visit to learn more about the history of both the manor and the prison.
